INTRODUCTION OF ADMINISTRATION OFFICE 

I. Position and functions

Administration Office is the subsidiary body of Vietnam Environment Administration (VEA ), performs functions of monitoring, supporting other VEA units on program, task planning and implementation; synthesizing the implementation of programs and work plans of VEA; performing administrative work, network management, event organization and coordination of activities related to various units of VEA, etc. 

II. Tasks and authorities

1. Monitoring and supporting other VEA units on task planning and implementation; developing and implementing the annual state budget plan.

2. Chairing and coordinating with other related units on developing and operating the electronic management system for the VEA leaders and organizing the reception, celebration of festival days, traditional days of the country and of the environment sector in accordance with current laws and regulations of the State and of the Ministry.

3. Chairing and co-organizing meetings, press conferences, events of VEA; preparing field trips for the VEA leaders.

4. Preparing week-working calendar, quarter- and month- working program of the VEA leaders; preparing documents and making records, documentation of meetings chaired by the VEA leaders; informing other units of guidance and decisions  of the VEA leaders;  developing periodic and unscheduled reports of assigned tasks.

5. Implementing administrative and network management at the headquarters of VEA under the provisions of law and decentralization of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE).

6. Implementing and supporting other VEA units on implementation of security guarantee, sanitation, and fire and disaster prevention.

7. Being the spokesperson of VEA and providing information about the VEA management areas for organizations and individuals in compliance with the Statements and Information Provision Regulation of MONRE and of VEA.

8. Managing the issue of VEA publications; implementing projects for investing, renovating, repairing VEA offices as assigned by the Director General.

9. Supervising and inspecting the management, development of training plans for VEA units.

10. Implementing the administrative reform program and plan of MONRE and VEA; chairing and implementing the administrative modernization of VEA, including administrative discipline, working modality, computerization of administrative management; applying the quality management system ISO 9001:2000.

11. Chairing and coordinating with other VEA units in planning, implementing inter-units tasks, and projects; monitoring, supervising and being the standing unit of the project management board established by the Director General.

12. Coordinating activities of the Office of the Inter-sector Steering Committee for implementation of the Plan of thoroughly handling organizations which cause serious environmental pollution in compliance with the Decision No. 64/2003/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of the Government (The Office 64 for short); as assigned by the Director General, permanent assisting other offices, steering committees which established in compliance with decisions of authorities.

13. Receiving and returning administrative documents, answering questions about the administrative procedures of organizations and individuals related to the duties and authorities of VEA.

14. Performing the functions of VEA in the Central and South of Vietnam.

15. Managing facilities, properties, operation costs; ensuring the facilities and working conditions for the VEA operation.

16. Performing other duties assigned by the Director General.

III. Organizational structure

Administration Office has a Chief and not exceeds 03 Deputy Chief.

2. Divisions:

a) General Co-ordination Division;

b) Accounting – Finance Division;

c) Administration Division;

d) Centre of Informatics.
